Rack organization should help you see possibilities without arranging tiles into an obvious public blueprint. A neutral, repeatable system makes card scanning faster and reduces the urge to reshuffle the entire hand after every draw.

A visible joker in another player's exposure may become available when you hold the natural tile it represents. The exchange is simple once you identify the exact grouping, but timing and eligibility still matter.

A commonly used modern American Mahjong set contains 152 playing tiles, but many retail sets include 160 or more because makers add spare blanks, replacement tiles, or extra decorative pieces. The category count matters more than the number printed on the box.
